Thank you & see you in 2022!
Reach for the Stars Baltimore offers our most sincere gratitude for supporting our first annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month event held on Friday October 29th, 2021 at FX Studio - Under Armor Performance Center! See some highlights in our gallery on the RFTS page!
Our vision is to create a safe space of healing and community.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, signifying an opportunity to bring the city together, create unity between residents, business owners, and law enforcement officials, and ultimately put an end to something so preventable: causing unwanted harm toward others. Domestic violence is 100% preventable if we are educated on how to recognize the signs of unhealthy/toxic behaviors, hold each other accountable, and normalize the topics in our daily conversations between family, friends, coworkers and our community.

...to pledge for Peace...
We are asking community members, restaurants, business owners, bars, and community organizations to make a simple promise: to be a part of ending domestic violence.
...to normalize discussions about domestic violence...
1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced domestic violence (DV) by their intimate partner. Baltimore City has reported over 500+ violent domestic crimes or domestic aggravated assaults within the first quarter of 2021. Now take a second and imagine how many unreported cases there are. With domestic violence being a prevalent issue across the nation, let alone our city, we wanted to create a night of love and solidarity where we can bring light into dark spaces.

& to spread the Love!
Help support this event by giving a "Love Offering" - a financial gift of any amount, an offering of your time and expertise, or an in-kind donation. Securing permits, conducting outreach, renting equipment, and properly organizing this event takes resources, which we are paying out of pocket and through the generosity of our community. We thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for making this happen.
Normalize the conversation, not the behavior.
